SASAWASHI FLAT is made by weaving Kumasasa Bamboo grass, which grows only at altitudes of 1000 meters or higher, into washi paper. This paper yarn is a thinner, untwisted version of SASAWASHI. The finished fabric is resilient with a firm feel and a natural luster that is unique to washi paper. Naturally antibacterial, deodorizing, and UV-blocking properties of Kumasasa bamboo grass help keep items clean, and the dyeing process makes it water-repellent* and stain-resistant. SASAWASHI FLAT is also great for weaving, macrame, household projects, and more!
