SASAWASHI is made by weaving Kumasasa bamboo grass, which grows only at altitudes of 1000 meters or higher, into washi paper. Naturally antibacterial, deodorizing, and UV-blocking properties of bamboo grass help keep items clean, making it suitable for crocheting hats, bandanas, and other summer accessories. The yarn has a natural glossy sheen unique to washi paper, and the dyeing process includes a treatment that makes it water-repellent* and stain-resistant.

SASAWASHI is also great for weaving, macrame, household projects, and more!
