Shophouse (amirisu 24) Yarn Set
Shophouse (amirisu 24) Yarn Set
This yarn set includes yarn only. The pattern is available in amirisu Issue 24.
Constructed between the 1840s and the 1960s, shophouses are a prevalent building type that forms the urban fabric of the old city center of Singapore and its fringes. They have been recognized as Singapore’s architectural heritage and are restored and conserved. Shophouses are also commonly found throughout historic cities of Southeast Asia.
Shophouse Tee, designed by yamagara, is a pullover inspired by the decorative features of such buildings. The cable design on the front reflects geometric lines of grille shutters, timber shutters, and balustrades. The lace design on the back is inspired by the aesthetics and function of decorative air vents and floor tiles.
