Shirakaba Cardigan - Printed Pattern No. 06

Designed by Rie, the Shirakaba Cardigan is knit flat from the bottom up. The front and back are knit individually after casting on for the sleeves. Take care to double-check stitch counts when picking up stitches.

Recommended Yarn: 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) balls of DARUMA GENMOU (100% merino wool / 165 yards / 151 meters / 50 grams). The sample is shown in color 16 Fawn.

Needles Required:
US 6 (4.0 mm) 32” / 80 cm circular needle
US 7 (4.5 mm) 40” / 100 cm circular needle
Set of US 6 (4.0 mm) DPNs (not necessary if using Magic-Loop)
Set of US 7 (4.5 mm) DPNs (for shoulder seam)
Or, needle to obtain gauge
Crochet hook for provisional CO

Gauge after blocking: 21 stitches & 28 rows = 4”/10cm in pattern on US 7 (4.5mm) needle

Sizes/Finished chest measurements: XS (S, M, L, XL) = 35¾ (38¼, 41¾, 44, 48)” / 91 (97, 105, 112, 122) cm. Positive ease of 4” / 20 cm.
