This cardigan is knit flat from bottom to underarm with increases. Front and back are then worked individually after casting on for sleeves. Shoulders are shaped with wrap and turns and seamed using the three-needle bind-off method.
Recommended Yarn: 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) balls of DARUMA GENMOU (100% merino wool / 165 yards / 151 meters / 50 grams). The sample is shown in color 16 Fawn.
Needles:
US 6 (4.0 mm) 32” / 80 cm circular needle
US 7 (4.5 mm) 40” / 100 cm circular needle
Set of US 6 (4.0 mm) DPNs (not necessary if using Magic-Loop method)
Set of US 7 (4.5 mm) DPNs (for shoulder seam)
Crochet hook for provisional CO
Or needle to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 21 stitches & 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern with US 7 (4.5mm) needle
