KOGIN

 

"KOGIN" is a technique of sashiko born in the Tsugaru area, Aomori prefecture, during the Edo era. This technique is used for solidly reinforcing cloth and retaining warmth. The threads, needles, and cloths are thicker than standard sashiko and are intended to be used together.
